Sauna Club Liability Waiver and Terms

Medical and Safety Guidelines

  1. Consult your physician if you are unsure about your ability to use the sauna.
  2. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or supervising adult.
  3. Discontinue sauna use if you feel light-headed, dizzy, or experience heat exhaustion.
  4. Limit sauna sessions to a maximum of 60 minutes. Take breaks during your session.
  5. Warning: Sauna Club does not endorse entering Lake Michigan during sauna sessions. No lifeguards are on duty, and the water is closed to swimming.
  6. Drink extra water and have a light meal before and after the sauna session.
  7. Guests with open wounds are not permitted to use the sauna.
  8. Guests using medications must consult a physician or pharmacist before sauna use.
  9. Pregnant women should consult a physician. Excessive body temperatures may cause fetal damage during early pregnancy.
  10. Do not use lotions, make-up, or chemicals before the sauna session. These may block pores, affect perspiration, stain wood, or cause guest irritation.

Important: You are solely responsible for monitoring your body’s reactions and determining if sauna use is appropriate.

Terms and Conditions

  1. All reservations must be scheduled in advance. Walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability.
  2. Full payment is collected on-site before entering the sauna.
  3. A bathing suit must be worn at all times during your reservation.
  4. Arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete paperwork, process payment, and use facilities.
  5. Respect other guests, Sauna Club staff, hosts, and property. Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave without a refund.

Prohibited Items and Activities

  • No jewelry, alcohol, red wine, smoking, drugs, food, metal, sharp objects, or breakables
  • No non-diluted essential oil application
  • No fire accelerants (propane, butane, gasoline, diesel, or other flammables)
  • Do not cross the stove-guard barrier

Fire and Heat Management

  • Use only natural fire-starter materials in stoves
  • All stove surfaces are hot and can cause burns
  • Use red handles to lift stove access and load firewood
  • Open the sauna door if internal temperatures become uncomfortable

Equipment and Cleaning

  • Renter accepts full responsibility for equipment care
  • Responsible for any damage beyond regular wear and tear
  • $50 cleaning fee may be charged for excessive uncleanliness

Cancellation Policy

  • Mobile Sauna Rental:
    • May 01 – Oct 31: 7 days prior notice for refund
    • Nov 01 – April 30: 48 hours prior notice for refund
  • Hourly Sessions: 24-hour cancellation notice required for full refund

Fire Extinguisher Use

Briefed on “PASS” method:

  • Pull pin
  • Aim nozzle
  • Squeeze trigger
  • Sweep over seat of fire

Liability Release

By completing your purchase, you:

  • Acknowledge and accept sauna use risks
  • Voluntarily assume risk of injury, accident, or death
  • Release Sauna Club, LLC from all personal injury or property damage claims
  • Understand this waiver applies to all sauna sessions
  • Agree to consult your doctor regarding participation
